Gil is an attorney and former pastor who was born and raised in Summerville. He has a passion to serve.
As a Summerville native who played football at Summerville High School for the legendary John McKissick, Gil's roots are firmly planted in Summerville.
He lives in downtown Summerville with his wife, Heather, and is the owner of the Gil Gatch Law Firm on Old Trolley Road.

Creating a more fair and lower tax system in SC
Gil is committed to fixing the tax system in South Carolina. This year, he voted to lower income tax rates and provide rebates directly to taxpayers and has signed on to a plan to continue to lower the income tax rate.
A stronger education system for our children
Gil believes in investing in and improving public education in South Carolina. That starts with providing parents choice and empowering them to be engaged in their child's education and learning environment.
